Why use a charcoal basket in a 16 inch kamado?

With a charcoal basket you lift the coals out of the kamado in one go. The ash falls through, so you can reuse the leftover charcoal and the kamado is clean faster.

Do 21 inch accessories fit a Medium too?

No. Grates, deflectors and stones of 21 or 23.5 inch are too big for a 16 inch kamado, so always choose the 16 inch version. Tools and thermometers do fit every size.

Do I need a stand for my Medium?

A stand with wheels makes your Medium mobile and brings it to working height. If your kamado sits in a BBQ table or outdoor kitchen, you do not need a stand.

How do I protect my 16 inch kamado outdoors?
