Which kamado parts can you order separately?

At Grill Bill you can order the parts that wear or can break separately: the fibreglass gasket or the felt seal, the firebox and fire ring, the handle, the hinge, the top vent, the ash drawer, ceramic feet and wheels for the stand. That keeps your kamado in top condition for years without buying a new one.
  • Seal: fibreglass gasket (Pro) or kamado felt (Classic)
  • Interior: firebox and fire ring per size
  • Airflow: top vent and top controller
  • Housing: handle, hinge, feet and wheels
Kamado parts

Repair instead of replace.

A ceramic kamado lasts for decades, but some parts wear faster than the ceramics. With the right kamado parts you only replace what is worn.

Worn gasket?

If the lid no longer closes airtight, the gasket is done. You notice it when the temperature keeps rising with the vents closed. With a new gasket you control the temperature as precisely as on a new kamado BBQ.

Crack in the firebox?

Hairline cracks in the firebox or fire ring come from the ceramics expanding and are no reason to replace them. If a part really breaks into pieces, order it per size. For add-ons made to size, see the kamado accessories.

Which part fits?

Parts differ per series and size. The felt seal belongs to the Grill Bill Classic, the fibreglass gasket to the Pro II and Pro III. If in doubt, contact customer service.

Frequently asked questions about kamado parts

When should I replace the gasket?
That depends on how often and how hot you cook. Replace it as soon as it is flattened, frayed or loose, or when the kamado no longer closes airtight.
Can I replace a part myself?
Most parts, yes: a gasket, handle, foot or wheel can be replaced with simple tools. The hinge is under spring tension, so it is best to work with two people.
What do I do if the ceramics are damaged?
Contact customer service first. The ceramics carry a 10 year warranty, and on the Pro II and Pro III up to 20 years after completing the free GB Academy e-learning.
