What is a medium kamado BBQ (16 inch)?
A medium kamado BBQ is a ceramic barbecue in the 16 inch size, with a 32.5 cm grate: the size that suits a family. You can grill, smoke and bake anything on it that a big kamado handles, between 90 and 400 °C, but it takes up noticeably less space. At 35 kg it is also still easy to move.

How many people is a 16 inch kamado suitable for?
Around five people. The 32.5 cm grate (830 cm² of cooking surface) is big enough for a complete family meal.
What is the difference between a medium and a large kamado?
The Medium has a 32.5 cm grate and is good for around 5 people; the Large has a 47 cm grate and easily cooks for 8. If you often cook for guests, choose the Large. For a family the Medium is more than enough.
Can I bake pizza on a medium kamado?
Yes. With a pizza stone and the temperature range up to 400 °C you bake a pizza crisp in a few minutes.
How much space do I need for a 16 inch kamado?
Allow about one square metre, including some working space around it. That makes the Medium a fit for almost any patio.
