The kamado hinge connects the lid to the base of your Grill Bill and lets the dome open and close smoothly. After years of firing up, a hinge or spring like this can wear out: the lid becomes heavy, slams shut or won't stay put where you leave it. With this part you tighten that up again in one go. Two springs are included.
When do you replace the kamado hinge
A worn hinge shows in how the lid behaves, not on the outside. If you recognise one or more of these points, replacing it is worth it.

- The lid slams shut instead of swinging gently
- The lid no longer stays propped half open
- The lid closes crooked, so the seal doesn't close evenly

This hinge is meant for the Grill Bill 21 inch Pro II and the Grill Bill 21 inch Classic. If you have a different size or model, choose the matching part, since the holes and spring tension differ per size.
What's included
You receive the hinge with two springs. For fitting it, you'll need a second pair of hands: the lid has to come loose while you swap the hinge. Afterwards, check whether the lid closes evenly on the seal before you finally tighten the bolts.
