The Graphite sharpener station gives your HORL sharpener a fixed spot on the countertop. The roller stands upright, stable and instantly graspable, instead of loose in a drawer among other tools. The graphite grey finish is cool and neutral, and blends in neatly in almost any kitchen alongside stainless steel and dark worktops.
What a Graphite sharpener station gets you
The main benefit isn't aesthetic, it's practical: a sharpener that stands on the worktop gets used. A sharpener buried at the back of a drawer gets used twice a year. Twenty seconds after cooking keeps your knives at their best, and that only works if the tool stays in sight. It also keeps the sharpening discs safe: in a drawer they get damaged through contact with other metal.
Who it's for
For anyone who has a HORL sharpener, or is buying one, and doesn't want to tuck it away. Note: this is the stand, not the sharpener. Compact in size, so it also suits a small countertop where space is tight.

Placing and maintaining it
Place the station on a flat, dry spot and set the roller upright in it. Clean it with a slightly damp cloth, then dry immediately. Skip abrasives and aggressive cleaners: those damage the finish.
Bill's tipGive the station a spot next to your cutting board. The moment a knife starts fighting you, the solution is within reach and you touch it up right away.
The sharpeners themselves are at HORL knife sharpeners, such as the HORL 2 Cruise. Looking for a warmer tone? Check out the station in Dark Bronze. Knives to keep sharp are in the knife collection.
