With this rib rack kamado accessory, you cook up to nine racks of ribs at once, standing upright side by side instead of flat on your grate. That way you use the height of your barbecue instead of just the surface, leave room for a pan of vegetables alongside, and let the smoke flow all around each piece. Exactly what you need when you're cooking for a larger group and don't want to work in two rounds.
What a rib rack kamado gives you
Laying ribs flat works fine, but after a few pieces your grate is full while the rest of the shell stays empty. Standing them upright changes that: you load a full batch in one go and still have air left for circulation. That second point matters more than you'd think. Because the pieces stand apart instead of resting against each other, smoke reaches them from every side and everything cooks more evenly. You don't need to turn or shift anything halfway through your session.
- Room for up to nine racks of ribs at once
- Stainless steel, heat-resistant and easy to clean
- Standing them upright lets smoke circulate around each piece
- Leaves room for other food alongside the ribs
- Dimensions 40 x 17 x 12 cm
- Fits the Grill Bill 21 inch and 23 inch
How to use it
Place the rack on your grate above a heat deflector, so the ribs cook indirectly and the fat doesn't drip onto the glowing coals. Leave a little space between the pieces and face them all the same way, so they brown evenly. After cooking, lift the whole rack out in one go.
Pair it with the meat claws to pull the ribs apart after cooking, or check out the accessories for 21 inch kamados and the full overview of kamado accessories.
