This enamel BBQ mug belongs to the kind of morning where you've already got the kamado going before the rest of the house is awake. Coffee in it while firing up, a beer later in the day, and your own mulled wine once it turns colder. Enamel is light, can take a knock, and holds up fine outside, where a porcelain mug usually only survives once.
Why an enamel BBQ mug by the kamado
Just like the glaze on your kamado, the finish is deliberately not mirror-smooth. Small imperfections belong to enamel and give the mug character, just as a kamado develops its own look after a few seasons. More importantly: drop it from the table onto the tiles and you're left with a dent at most, not shards scattered through the grass.
- Enamel finish with a rustic, characterful look
- Suitable for coffee, beer or mulled wine
- Grill Bill logo, matching the rest of your gear
- Light and sturdy enough to leave outside
- Handy to pick up a few extra for when you have company
What to watch for with enamel
Enamel conducts heat, so the rim gets hot with a scalding drink in it. Letting it sit a moment is enough. Don't put the mug on the grate or straight on the coals either: it's meant for drinking out of, not for cooking in.
Cleaning
Rinse the mug by hand with a soft sponge and warm water. Don't use a scouring pad, as it takes the shine off the enamel and eventually wears away the logo.
Complete the set with the Grill Bill tea towel or something else from the Grill Bill merchandise. All other accessories are under BBQ accessories.
