A cotton BBQ tea towel sounds like the least exciting thing in your outdoor kitchen, until you don't have one. This towel from Grill Bill is made of sturdy cotton and carries the logo, so it matches the rest of your gear. You lay it next to the kamado, wipe your hands on it while tending the fire, and dry your dishes with it afterwards.
What you use the cotton BBQ tea towel for
Firing up leaves you with greasy fingers constantly: from lighting up, from oiling meat, from moving a grate. A towel within reach saves you a trip to the kitchen every time. Sturdy cotton also absorbs more than a thin towel and doesn't start fraying after a few washes.
- Sturdy cotton, built for regular use and washing
- Absorbs moisture well, including when drying dishes
- Grill Bill logo, matching the rest of your gear
- Handy for wiping your hands while tending the fire
- Also usable simply as a kitchen towel indoors
Washing and care
The towel can just go in with your regular laundry. Wash it regularly, since grease and smoke flavour otherwise soak into the cotton. Skip the fabric softener if you want the towel to keep absorbing moisture well, as it leaves a coating on the fibres.
What not to use it for
A tea towel isn't a substitute for heat protection. Grabbing a warm handle briefly works fine, but for a hot grate or a cast iron pan you reach for a real grill glove.
