This stainless steel grill grate 23 inch is the grate you cook on most often on your Grill Bill. Stainless steel doesn't corrode from grease, salt and charcoal heat, and it's a lot quicker to clean than cast iron. You order it separately when your original is worn out or warped, or as a second one so a clean grate is always ready while the other cools down.
When you need a new grill grate 23 inch
A cooking grate takes more punishment in a kamado than any other part. After a few seasons you'll see it: the spot where you cook most starts to shine, the bars can warp, and at some point it no longer sits flat in the shell. That's the moment to swap it. Getting a second grate also works well, especially if you often run several courses in a row and don't want to be scrubbing halfway through.
- Doesn't rust, even after years outdoors
- Withstands the high temperatures of charcoal in a kamado
- No seasoning or oiling needed, rinse and use
- Quick to clean with a brush or an hour's soak
- Direct replacement for a worn original
- Made for the Grill Bill kamado, 23 inch
Maintenance
Brush the grate clean while it's still warm, as caked-on fat releases fastest then. If there's a thick layer, let it soak in warm water with washing-up liquid. Dry it afterwards and store it somewhere dry, and it will stay in good shape for years.
