The Meatstick X is a wireless meat thermometer that disappears entirely into the meat. No cable runs out past the lid, so you don't have to leave your kamado ajar and nothing gets caught in the seal. You insert the probe into the thickest part of the meat, close the lid and track the core temperature remotely. That means you can leave a pulled pork or a brisket for hours without having to keep checking on it.
Why a wireless meat thermometer makes the difference
During long low-temperature cooks, core temperature is the only thing that really counts. Every time you open the lid you lose heat and pull in false air, causing your temperature to start swinging. With a wireless probe, that reason to look disappears. You simply see on your phone what's happening inside the meat and only step in when it's needed.
Who this set is for
For anyone who goes beyond quick grilling: low-and-slow smoking, whole chickens, rolled roasts and large cuts of beef. It's also handy for a short cook, because you hit the exact core temperature you want for a steak or chicken breast instead of guessing. The set comes with a charging case, so the probe stays charged and protected between sessions.

How to use it
Insert the probe up to the marking into the thickest part of the meat, away from bone and large layers of fat. Place the meat on the barbecue and close the lid. Track the core temperature and take the meat off at the value that suits your dish. Expect the temperature to keep rising a few more degrees after removal while it rests.
Bill's tipAlways insert the probe into the cold meat before cooking. Inserting it into hot meat halfway through costs heat and you'll easily burn your fingers.
