What do you use a cast iron grill grate 23 inch for?

To sear on one half of your kamado while cooking more gently on the other half. You slide the grate into the Smart Qooking frame of your Grill Bill 23 inch, next to your stainless steel grate. The thick cast iron gets hotter than stainless steel and holds that heat much longer, which shows in the crust and the grill marks.

Swapping grates halfway through the cook is no longer necessary.

What you use this cast iron grill grate 23 inch for

Which kamado does this grate fit

Together with a stainless steel grate on the other half, you form the full cooking surface of your kamado. For the rest of your size, check out the 23.5 inch XL accessories.

    Maintenance

Clean the grate while it's still lukewarm, when residue comes off most easily. Then rub the cast iron lightly with oil: this keeps rust away and builds up a natural non-stick layer over time. Don't leave the grate wet inside the kamado.
